The Breaking the Stigma Mental Health Conference and Community Resource Expo aims to bring mental health resources to minorities and those with limited or no access to them. This conference aims to create a safe space for participants to discuss past traumas and mental disorders without bias and fear. To create a support network for families that experience behavioral, developmental, and other mental health issues. Finally, the conference will promote healthy and holistic additions to mental health care.

Panel
Discussions
The panel will be comprised of Physicians, Therapists, Legal Professionals, and Specialists who work to treat varying mental health issues with adolescents, men, or other marginalized groups, as well as families of children with mental illness, and behavioral and social issues. The purpose is to engage topics related to the conference theme and to answer questions from participants.
Workshops
The workshop series aims to introduce conference participants to creative and healthy additions to their lives and medical plans. Participants will choose one of the beginner-friendly thirty-minute workshops to attend. Each workshop will include separate materials for each participant.
Breakout
Sessions
The breakout sessions are for small group discussions among the conference participants and a facilitator. The topics are selected in conjunction with the theme of the conference. Participants will choose one breakout session to attend. Each session will include separate materials for each participant.
Community
Resource Fair
The Community Resource Fair will be comprised of mental health workers, specialists, advocates, and programs that provide mental health and wellness services. They can disseminate information to the participants and register participants for their services. Note: This will not be for counseling sessions. Information Only.

Keynote Speaker
Dr. Terrance Schofield
Trevecca Nazarene University
Dr. Terrence Schofield, known as "Dr. T," is a nationally celebrated expert in Human Performance and Diverse Relationships, holding a Ph.D. His expertise in the field of psychology, especially in the domain of Relationships, has earned him recognition as one of the nation's foremost authorities by none other than ABC's Good Morning America Contributing Mental Health Consultant and VH1 Psychologist, Dr. Jeff Gardere.
A dynamic public speaker, senior minister, and a sought-after diversity, equity, and inclusion trainer, Dr. T has captivated audiences at academic institutions, executive leadership teams across the USA, and beyond. His journey through academia culminated in a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and he currently serves as a diversity executive in his role as Associate Provost of Mission, Excellence, & Reconciliation at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.

We are committed to eliminating the negative stereotypes associated with mental health care, providing families and individuals with mental health resources, and creating a safe space for people of all ages to reach out for help.
We aim to provide participants with 24-hour mental health services, emergency shelters, resource referrals, and advocacy for social change with expert support.
